Sleeping Dog
Sunlight bathing the
wood floor, falling on a
furry beast.
Snow
White soft flakes
falling gracefully
on a red hat.
Red
Red hearts give way
to red candies and roses
to everything red.
The Moon
Shining in the dark
sky, full of power and might,
round and graceful.
The simple poetry blog of just one young woman along with some music and other food for thought.

When You Know It's Perfect
When you know, you know.
Your heart beats a thousand times a minute.
Completeness engulfs the soul.
Can't go a day without him,
Can't stop smiling.
Talking to him is the best medicine for everything.
Tell all your deepest darkest secrets,
Can complete his sentences and he can complete yours.
His kisses are like an angel's.
Never feel alone,
Cause he always has your back.
He loves you unconditionally,
Never wants to change you,
Loves everything about you,
Every quirk,
Every strange sound,
Every addiction,
Every word,
Everything.
Then,
it is,
Perfect

To Live- Vivere
The old grandfather clock ticks away.
Breathes come and go.
Light and dark blanket the world.
Footsteps are made,
Babies cry,
Teenagers drive.
People find jobs,
Buy apartments and homes.
Live.
They live their lives for a reason.
Some for money.
Some for greed.
Some for lust.
Some for ambition.
Some for fear of the beyond.
But the best live for love.
They live for that one special person to come along,
For that person to change their world,
To mean everything in a world so full of corruption,
To spark that light at the end of the tunnel,
To warm their hearts with happiness and joy,
To spend sunny afternoons laying in the grass,
To fly around the world,
To spend a quiet meal together as one.
They live.
Breathes come and go.
Light and dark blanket the world.
Footsteps are made,
Babies cry,
Teenagers drive.
People find jobs,
Buy apartments and homes.

Night Sky
Blues, grays, blacks swallow the sky.
Street lights flicker.
Clouds gracefully open,
Revealing the majestic moon.
Looking up at that moon,
How round and perfect and white,
Wondering, always wondering,
Is he looking up there too?
Street lights flicker.
Clouds gracefully open,
Revealing the majestic moon.
Looking up at that moon,
How round and perfect and white,
Wondering, always wondering,
Is he looking up there too?
New Life
New clothes, new hair,
New attitude, new life.
Stronger, faster, better.
Determined, dedicated, spirit.
Out with the old,
In with the new.
I will survive.
I will be better.
I will be stronger.
New attitude, new life.
Stronger, faster, better.
Determined, dedicated, spirit.
Out with the old,
In with the new.
I will survive.
I will be better.
I will be stronger.
The Dance
Beat booming.
Body moving.
Attitude showing.
Emotion engulfing.
Freedom ringing.
Breathing quickening.
Beat booming.
"If God is a DJ,
Life is a dance floor,
Love is the rhythm,
You are the music."
Body moving.
Attitude showing.
Emotion engulfing.
Freedom ringing.
Breathing quickening.
Beat booming.
"If God is a DJ,
Life is a dance floor,
Love is the rhythm,
You are the music."

Him
Big brown eyes watching me,
Reassuring me,
Loving me.
Strong hands holding me,
Embracing me,
Loving me.
Sharing my pain and sorrow,
My happiness and joy,
Loving me.
Staying up past midnight,
Crying and laughing,
Loving me.
Missing me.
Needing me.
Loving me.
Reassuring me,
Loving me.
Strong hands holding me,
Embracing me,
Loving me.
Sharing my pain and sorrow,
My happiness and joy,
Loving me.
Staying up past midnight,
Crying and laughing,
Loving me.
Missing me.
Needing me.
Loving me.
Oreo
The barking gone,
The jingling tags gone silent,
The pieces of bone left lying around the house.
The back door shut,
The food given away,
The brushes left empty.
The furry hugs disappear,
The big brown eyes shut forever,
Snoring has ceased.
Who raised me.
Who was my sister.
Forever in my heart.
The jingling tags gone silent,
The pieces of bone left lying around the house.
The back door shut,
The food given away,
The brushes left empty.
The furry hugs disappear,
The big brown eyes shut forever,
Snoring has ceased.
Who raised me.
Who was my sister.
Forever in my heart.
The Hill
The tall grass
brushed by my leg.
A slight breeze whispered
by me, Lightly tossing my mess
of curly brown hair. Eyes blinded
by the bright sun, skin warmed by its wrath.
Colorful flowers of blue and yellow and pink Sway on
their stems. Smells of wildflowers, Of lavender, daisies and rose,
Fill the soft air. I never want to leave this place, I think I’ll stay here forever.

The Eye
Darting back and forth,
Sharp and exact.
Full of color,
And memories.
It has seen everything.
From happiness to pain,
From glory to defeat,
From sun to rain.
Emotion ripes through it,
Like the sun on a cloudy day.
It is the entry to one's soul,
And can never lie.
Greatly cherished by the owner,
It is hers alone.
Lonely Night
Darkness surrounds the heart,
Eyes close in pain.
Body trembles in rapid shakes,
Tears stream down a pale face.
Sobbing filling the quiet air of night,
Grabbling hands reach for a relief.
Soft music drowning empty ears,
Tears subside.
Tears return,
It continues.
The circle is never ending,
And will begin again.
Until he comes again,
To save me from my lonely night.
